Shooting Stars
This is an origin story-the beginning of how I started seeing and transforming the natural world into form, as jewelry. From my Colorado, vineyard-studio, I watched the tendrils of grape vines reaching, curling and fastening themselves to every trellis and branch. Bending silver wire became a way to follow the twisting, looping and growing forms. Influenced by the grape vines my "Twig and Tendril" jewelry pieces developed and have become a reflection of how living things seek connection and find support.
This collection marks the beginning of my path as a metalsmith, rooted in close observation and a deepening relationship with the natural world. It's the first expression of themes that continue to unfold in my work: connection, transformation, and the unseen forces that guide us.
