Nancy E Becker

Nancy Becker’s passion for art and her love of learning and nature have shaped a life rooted in curiosity, observation, and connection to the natural world.

Her artistic journey began early, growing up with the Angeles National Forest as her backyard. There, she spent countless hours on horseback, exploring vast mountain landscapes and absorbing the shifting patterns of light, color, and shadow across the terrain. Drawing became her way of understanding and recording what she saw. As she reflects, “My horse was a kind of spiritual guide on the quest.” She graduated with highest honors in Art from Pasadena High School, already deeply attuned to the relationship between landscape and personal expression.

College in Boulder, Colorado brought new perspectives, friendships, and creative exploration. While her path expanded in unexpected directions, the thread of art and the grounding presence of animals and the outdoors remained constant—a place of return, a steady source of inspiration.

Today, Nancy lives surrounded by open land and mountains, quiet rhythms. She has rekindled a creative fire that had been dormant. Building on early training in silversmithing and lapidary work she creates jewelry that reflects a lifelong dialogue with nature—its textures, its movement, and its quiet, enduring presence.

Each jewelry piece emerges as a fragment of that dialogue—echoing ridgelines that recede into distance, tendrils that reach and intertwine, and the unseen continuities that bind one moment to the next. In these forms, the natural world is not only remembered, but carried—held close, like a quiet and enduring companion.

Jewelry as landscape, held in the hand and worn close to the heart.
