Koem Boo is the process used to create the golden shapes on these dangle earrings. 24 kt gold is fused to fine silver with heat and burnishing. The fine silver is oxidized, creating a black surface.

Koem Boo is the process used to create the golden marks on these dangle earrings. 24 kt gold is fused to fine silver using heat and burnishing. The fine silver is then oxidized, creating the black surface with gold shapes on the surface.

Fine silver creates the basis for these earrings. The silver is hammered and heated in various ways to create texture. Koem Boo, the ancient Korean method used to create the golden marks on the dangle earrings is then used. 24 kt gold is fused to fine silver with heat and burnishing. After the gold has been fused in place the fine silver is oxidized, creating the black surface on the silver and leaving the 24ct gold bright and shiny.
The Medium Tendril Hoops carry a more expressive gesture-longer lines, more movement. inspired by the looping paths of grapevines as they stretch and climb.
