Fine silver creates the basis for these earrings. The silver is hammered and heated in various ways to create texture. Koem Boo, the ancient Korean method used to create the golden marks on the dangle earrings is then applied. 24 kt gold is fused to fine silver with heat and burnishing. After the gold has been fused in place the fine silver is heavily oxidized, creating the black surface.
